Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- After a 17-year hiatus, the ability to send goods directly from Ferghana International Airport to foreign countries was restored.
This decision was made in order to provide comprehensive support and create favorable conditions for exporters of domestic fruits and vegetables grown in the Ferghana Valley.
On 1 June 2020, 50 tons of export cherry were sent by charter cargo flight from Ferghana International Airport to Seoul International Airport in South Korea.
For successful operation, special equipment (Triple) was delivered to the Ferghana International Airport from Namangan International Airport, used for loading onto an airplane and special Euro pallets from Tashkent International Airport.
Thus, the problem of inter-regional transportation of perishable goods was solved, and the possibilities of entrepreneurs-exporters were expanded.
