Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Fergana Exim Agro, a company with assets in Uzbekistan’s Ferghana region, has successfully expanded its exports of fruits, vegetables, and dried fruits to global markets, according to the press service of the Ferghana regional administration.
Among its latest achievements is the export of Uzbekistan’s renowned melon varieties — Torpeda and Obi-novvot — to Sweden.
In the country’s capital, Stockholm, these melons attracted strong interest from consumers. Impressed by their exceptional quality, Swedish partners placed an additional order for 20 tons of the product following the initial shipment.
According to the company’s director, Yorkin Inomov, Sweden holds significant potential as a promising market for Uzbek melon producers.
He emphasized that such exports represent a major opportunity to promote Uzbek melons across Europe.
Previously, Fergana Exim Agro had also successfully exported Meyer lemons to Japan.
