Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Farkhod Umarov has been appointed qw acting khokim of Bukhara region. This was reported by the press service of the khokimiyat.
He was appointed to this position at the meeting of the regional asset on 28 August.
Acting khokim of the Bukhara region, Karim Kamalov, died on 22 August at the age of 66 from the consequences of the coronavirus.
During the meeting, the head of the Presidential Administration Zaynilobiddin Nizomiddinov noted that the death of the acting khokim Karim Kamalov was a great loss for Bukharians and the whole country.
The decree of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the appointment of Farkhod Umarov to the post of acting khokim of the Bukhara region was read out.
Prior to that, he worked as the first deputy khokim of the region for financial and economic issues and poverty reduction.
