Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Farg‘onaazot Joint Stock Company has officially lost its status as a dominant market player.

This decision was made in accordance with Article 13 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Competition” and the provisions of the regulatory act approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 256 dated 1 May 2024.

According to Uzbek legislation, a company is recognized as having a dominant market position if its market share reaches or exceeds 40% in the relevant sector.

Following an assessment conducted by the authorized body, it was determined that Farg‘onaazot’s market share in the production and sale of urea has fallen below the required threshold.

As a result, the Competition Development Committee has ruled to revoke the company’s dominant status.
