Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – FAO supported TSAU in holding the International Conference "On practical and theoretical problems of agricultural science and their solutions". 

In total, representatives of more than 90 educational institutions, including, scientists and professors from prestigious universities of Russia, Germany, Korea, Turkey, also took part in the conference.

It was noted that cooperation between the University and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has been consolidating since Uzbekistan joined FAO in 2001. Several successful programmes and projects have been jointly implemented, strengthening scientific and educational capacity of the University staff as well as students, on the basis of the best international practices. 

During the conference, the results of interaction over the past year and plans for future cooperation were discussed. It was noted that TSAU is one of the most authoritative educational institutions specializing in agriculture in Central Asian region.

Among the graduates of the university there are many talented persons who have contributed to the development of agriculture not only in Uzbekistan, but also abroad.
