Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Kashkadarya region hosts film screenings, My Movie Hero essay contests and cultural events.

Representatives of culture and art, including well-known filmmakers, visit Kashkadarya region. The events were organized at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to hold cultural and educational events in the mahallas of the Kashkadarya region.

The Cinematography Agency, together with representatives of the Ministries of Public Education, Culture, the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment and other organizations, actively participates in the planned events, holds creative meetings on the mahallabay system. In each mahalla, film screenings of new domestic films are organized at specialized movie theaters "Kinoclub". Cinematographers from all over the republic joined the Kashkadarya colleagues.

– We organize screenings of new films that were filmed by order of the Film Agency for residents of each mahalla, remote areas and villages. In addition, as part of the meetings, films from the golden fund of Uzbek cinema are shown to residents, - said Farmon Rozikov, head of the Samarkand regional branch of the Cinematography Agency.

Educational events with the participation of well-known representatives of culture and art have already begun in Kashkadarya region. The Enlightenment Caravan, which also includes well-known filmmakers, is actively participating in the planned events.

 “Such events will be an excellent motivation not only for film lovers, but also for the filmmakers themselves. “Demonstration of good films, live creative meetings and live communication will give a deeper understanding of the essence of the creative changes taking place in the country,” said the Honored Art Worker of Uzbekistan, chairman of the Creative Union of Filmmakers Matyokub Matchonov.

Yesterday in the city of Karshi, in the house of mercy of Yakkabag district, in Nishan district, in the Karshi sanatorium, entertainment events and creative meetings were held. Also, film quizzes and round tables dedicated to cinematography were held in the Nishan region. They were attended by filmmakers, writers, representatives of the intelligentsia and pop stars. Active participants were given books and souvenirs.

At the same time, at the initiative of the President, essay competitions on the theme “My Movie Hero” are held among students in grades 8-11 from more than 1,200 schools. Filmmakers brought 4 films for showing in schools - Ilhak, Utkan kunlar, Matonat Maktabi and Abdulla Oripov. After watching the films, students write creative works, which will be evaluated first at the district, and then at the regional scale. The winners will be awarded special prizes.

– Filmmakers need attention, applause and the love of the people. It is at such events that the good attitude of the people is felt. Today, at the initiative of the President, we are visiting Kashkadarya, where we will participate in meetings dedicated to the promotion of Uzbek art, especially national cinema. This will give us more enthusiasm and inspiration,” said the Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Shokhida Uzokova.

The House of Mercy No. 18, which is located in the Sheikh Ali mahalla of the city of Karshi, hosted a screening of the film "I am not a terrorist" directed by Muhammadali Iskandarov.

- I think that events aimed at popularizing national culture and art in the mahallas of the Kashkadarya region will be held at a high level. There are people in every mahalla who love to watch our national films and are not indifferent to good cinema. During our trip, we will communicate live with these people and watch our national films together. This will serve as a great inspiration for us, - said the famous film actor Khurshid Tukhtaev.

At the same time, filmmakers will organize auditions and video tests to identify talented young people and further support their talents.

- Recently, many new films have been created, but the new task, outlined by the President of our country, was to bring these educational film projects to every mahalla, to the heart of every resident. This is the main purpose of our promotions. And the positive Kashkadarya experience will soon be spread throughout the country, - said Firdavs Abdukhalikov, Director General of the Cinematography Agency.
