Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with a 16-story residential building erected in Sergeli district of Tashkent city.

The building was constructed according to modern standards, in compliance with the requirements of earthquake resistance. Used energy-saving wall materials. The house is connected to the Internet, provided with video surveillance and firefighting equipment. It consists of 80 two- and three-room apartments, which were transferred to low-income families in need of housing.

The head of state visited the family of Sharofiddin and Shakhnoza Dzhurabaev, talked with them.

The family lived in a rented apartment for 14 years.

Over the past three years, 460 multi-storey buildings for 19,522 apartments have been commissioned in Sergeli district. 26 makhalla guzars of exemplary type were built. Work is underway on the construction of kindergartens, schools, clinics and other facilities, creating decent conditions for the population.
