False message caused evacuation of Samarqand Darvoza mall

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Telephone hooliganism caused an evacuation of visitors to the Samarqand Darvoza shopping center in Tashkent, the press service of the Main Department of Interior Affairs of Tashkent city said.

The department said that citizen of Uzbekistan, who was born on 1998, called to 102 and informed about talk of two women, who were speaking about deployment of bomb at Samarqand Darvoza shopping center.

Law enforcement bodies urgently evacuated citizens from the center and inspected the building. They did not detect any explosive devices.

The department noted that the call was made out of hooligan motives. A criminal case has been opened against the citizen for hooliganism. Now investigations are underway.
