Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In recent days, social media users have increasingly reported power outages occurring across various districts of the capital.

According to the press service of the local utility company, the extreme heat sweeping the country has led to a sharp spike in electricity consumption. This surge has placed unprecedented strain on the national energy system, especially in Tashkent. Experts note that, for the first time, summer electricity demand has surpassed typical winter peak levels, significantly overloading the city’s power grid.

The statement emphasized that such rapid and intense increases in consumption, if not met with timely technical interventions, could result in large-scale emergency shutdowns.

To address disruptions promptly, round-the-clock emergency response teams have been deployed in Tashkent by “Toshkent shahar elektr tarmoqlari” LLC. These teams remain on high alert and are dispatched immediately to resolve any power network issues.

Nevertheless, despite the measures taken, brief and localized power outages continue to affect certain areas of the capital.
