Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An explosion occurred in a private residential house in the Gijduvan district of Bukhara region.

According to the regional Emergency Situations Department, the incident took place on 12 February in the Guliston mahalla of Gijduvan district.

Preliminary reports indicate that the explosion was caused by gas accumulation in the house, which ignited when the lights were turned on.

No fire followed the explosion. One person sustained injuries, and no fatalities were reported.
