Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An explosion of a gas-air mixture occurred in a mosque in the Mirzo Ulugbek mahalla of Izboskan district, Andijan region, according to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Emergency response teams from the regional department promptly arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control.

According to preliminary reports, six people were injured as a result of the explosion.
