Experts from leading analytical centers of Uzbekistan and Turkey discussed prospects for further cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 15 December 2022, a meeting was held at the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a delegation of Turkish experts headed by Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Foundation for Strategic and Sociological Research.

During the talks, issues of deepening Uzbek-Turkish relations, the main results of the Samarkand OTS summit were discussed.

A thorough exchange of views was held on the prospects for cooperation between scientific and analytical organizations.

The participants of the event highly appreciated the state of Uzbek-Turkish relations, brought this year to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.

It was noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey are steadily developing in an ascending line.

It was emphasized that the key factor in the consistent promotion of bilateral cooperation is the establishment of a close and trusting dialogue between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkey.

During the meeting, the parties approved the Joint Action Plan for 2023 as part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between ISMI and the Marmara Group Foundation, signed in 2018 in Istanbul.

The document envisages participation in joint events, exchange of publications and organization of bilateral online conferences on the most pressing issues of the regional agenda.

The Marmara Group Foundation, founded in 1985 with the support of the ex-president of Turkey, Suleyman Demirel, is a public organization engaged in strategic and social research.
