The Association said that the German company delivered 19 buses of Mercedes-Benz Conecto Low Floor model to Tashkent. According to the Association, another 24 buses will be delivered by the end of October 2013.

Toshshahartranshizmat Association and EvoBus GmbH (Germany) signed an agreement for supply of 100 city passenger buses of Mercedes-Benz Conecto Low Floor model to Tashkent city, spare parts and diagnostic tools for them in 2013.

The cost of the deal is 14 million euros, of which 13.75 million euros will be used to purchase buses and 250,000 euros for spare parts.

The resolution of the Government of Uzbekistan said that the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan (FRDU) will fully finance the agreement. The FRDU will issue loan for 15 years with three-year grace period.

Interest rate on loan set at 0.5% APR and 0.25% APR – margin of refinancing bank – Uzpromstroybank.

According to the Toshshahartranshizmat Association, it is planning to buy 600 buses of Isuzu buses, produced at Samarkand Automobile Plant, and 20 trams in 2014-2015.

Within two years, Toshshahartranshizmat Association will buy 100 buses of Mercedes-Benz each year.
