Escrow Account System in Housing Construction to Launch in Uzbekistan on July 1 with Support from Russia’s DOM.RF
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An escrow account system for housing construction will be introduced in Uzbekistan starting from 1 July, with technical and strategic support from the Russian company DOM.RF, Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services Sherzod Khidoyatov announced.
According to the minister, a working group is being formed under the Ministries of Finance and Economy, involving experts with hands-on experience at DOM.RF. The digital platform for the system has already been developed and is currently undergoing final testing.
As reported by RIA Novosti, Minister Khidoyatov expressed confidence that the system will be operational on schedule. Its launch is expected to strengthen the protection of homebuyers' rights and reduce fraud risks in the residential construction sector.
The announcement was made during the 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum, which is taking place from 10 to 12 June and annually attracts over 3,000 participants from more than 100 countries.
