Erkin Narmanov Heads Karakalpakstan Tax Authority

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Erkin Narmanov has been appointed Head of the Tax Administration of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. His key task in the new role will be to improve the effectiveness of fiscal control and ensure compliance with tax legislation.

Narmanov replaces Khalmurza Bekchanov in the position.

The appointment took place on 11 March as part of a planned renewal of the management team.

Before his appointment in Karakalpakstan, Narmanov headed the tax service of Surkhandarya region. In that role, he oversaw projects aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and legalizing income.

According to the information service of the Jokargy Kenes, Narmanov’s extensive experience in the tax system was one of the key factors behind his appointment.
