Environment monitoring programme adopted in Uzbekistan

The programme was approved in line with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers from 23 August 2016.

The document said that Uzbekistan created the single environment monitoring system. The monitoring is conducted at 390 industrial enterprises, 68 points of water flow, 87 water collectors, etc.

As a result of adopted measures, total mass of pollutants in the air has decreased by 1.5 times.

The resolution underlined that it is necessary to continue regular work on monitoring environment. New programme is directed at ensuring this task.

The Government said that ministries and departments should ensure timely and quality execution of the measures, including to the Programme.
