Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7-8 April this year, the Government Commission on Foreign Trade, Investments, Development of Local Industry and Technical Regulation under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov studied the current state of the socio-economic development of Jizzakh region with a visit to the field in order to develop measures to further stimulate it, and also worked directly with local entrepreneurs and exporters.

The result of this work was a meeting organized on 8 April in Jizzakh with business representatives, at which the problems faced by entrepreneurs and exporters of the region in the course of economic activity were comprehensively discussed.

More than 300 entrepreneurs and exporters took part in the event, almost each of which had the opportunity to apply to the leadership of the Commission for support in resolving existing issues. Mostly, the issues were related to the allocation of credit resources, the prolongation of interest payments on previously received loans, obtaining various permits and licenses, connecting to utility networks, and the need to find foreign customers for export deliveries.

Each problem was worked out with the involvement of the heads of relevant ministries, departments and local authorities of districts and cities of the region. The algorithms for solving problems developed during cross-discussion and analysis were immediately sent to the relevant structures for taking response measures within the specified time frame.

The studied cases, as well as the mechanisms for their solution, taking into account their systemic nature, were adopted for making specific decisions at the level of the Government Commission and their subsequent implementation in other regions of the country.

The event was broadcast online on social networks, which allowed entrepreneurs and exporters who were unable to personally attend the meeting to address their questions to the leadership of the Government Commission through the official resources of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade on Facebook and Instagram social networks. Each online appeal received its specific decision and was taken under control.

As a result of the meeting, responsible managers received targeted instructions to address the identified issues. Control over the fulfillment of the tasks set will be carried out by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
