Enterprise of Thermal Power Plants starts to produce solar water heating collectors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Thermal Power Plants JSC, supervised by the Ministry of Energy, pays special attention to the issue of widespread introduction of energy-saving technologies and mechanisms to stimulate energy savings, increase the use of alternative energy sources, in particular solar.

In accordance with this, calculations were made of the energy consumption of JSC "Thermal Power Plants" and its enterprises for their own needs, a specific action plan was defined for the widespread use of alternative energy equipment based on modern technologies in the industry.

The subordinate enterprise JSC "Thermal Power Plants" JSC "Uzbekenergotamir" on the basis of industrial cooperation launched the production of solar water heaters with a capacity of 200 liters at competitive prices at the local level.

The advantage of this equipment is that it is equipped with 24 pipes, unlike similar 20-pipe solar water heaters on the market. This allows you to heat up to 200 liters of water in a shorter time. Experts say that while this type of commercially available device has a 15-year warranty, this domestic product will reliably serve for 20 years.

At the first stage, 15 solar water heaters were installed at Tashkent CHP JSC. Work is underway to install 12 units at Syrdarya TPP JSC and another 10 units at Talimarjan TPP JSC. Also, it is planned to provide all enterprises of the system with a total of about 150 units of this equipment.

In the future, within the framework of the project, it is planned to produce solar water heaters both for local budgetary organizations and for the population. Currently, work is underway to manufacture these heaters at a price of 5-10 percent below the market, intended for the general population, as well as to introduce a procedure for selling them in the form of loans or loans.

In order to expand the use of alternative energy sources, JSC "Thermal Power Plants" announced a tender for the installation of solar power plants with a capacity of 1800-2000 kW at the Ferghana TPP and 1200-1500 kW at the Syrdarya TPP.
