Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from 1 July 2025, Uzbekistan will officially begin accepting electronic identity documents. This initiative is established by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Electronic versions of documents can be presented via the mobile application of the my.gov.uz platform. Banks, notaries, airports, government agencies, and other institutions will be required to accept these documents without restrictions.

The electronic documents to be recognized include:

• Biometric passports
• Driver’s licenses
• Identity cards
• Student IDs
• Birth certificate
• Cadastral passports

This initiative aims to simplify citizens’ access to various services and enhance convenience in interactions with government bodies.
