Electricity prices for population hikes in Uzbekistan

Uzbekenergo state joint stock company said that new prices for electricity were approved by the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan.

According to Uzbekenergo, from 1 October, the cost of 1 kilowatt per hour electricity grows from 97.5 soums to 104.4 soums.

The price for 1 kilowatt per hour electricity for houses, equipped with electric range increases from 48.75 soums to 52.2 soums.

Last time, prices for electricity in Uzbekistan increased on 1 April 2012. Uzbekenergo said that consumers can for electricity on old prices till 10 October 2012.
