Electric Ambulances: Uzbekistan deploys new BYD Seagull vehicles in regions
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ipoteka Bank OTP Group has handed over 10 BYD Seagull electric vehicles to the Republican Emergency Medical Center in Uzbekistan.
The official handover ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health, bank executives, media, and industry specialists.
Deputy Minister of Health Elmira Basitkhanova emphasized that such cooperation would enhance the efficiency and quality of emergency medical services for the population.
Ipoteka Bank OTP Group actively supports the development of healthcare, education, insurance, and IT and communications sectors.
The electric ambulances will be distributed among 10 regional branches of the Republican Emergency Medical Center and tested as part of a pilot project. Based on the results, further recommendations will be developed.
Currently, Uzbekistan’s emergency medical system operates with 2,857 medical teams, serving the population with over 3,100 vehicles, including 574 Class B resuscitation ambulances.
