Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- All the training and production practices of students of NUST “MISiS” in the summer of 2020 will be organized in an online format. 293 students of the Almalyk branch of NUST “MISiS” will be able to get acquainted with the future profession at eight partner enterprises of the university, including JSC Almalyk MMC, JSC Uzvtortsvetmet, JSC Uzmetkombinat.

In practice, students, together with the curators of the companies, will solve production problems within the framework of individual cases under the supervision of a university supervisor. At the same time, all the information necessary for the assignment of the enterprise will be provided online, in various ways, depending on the specifics of the industry.

NUST “MISiS” cooperates with more than 1600 business partners, whose enterprises annually host about 9000 unique practices and internships. In the 2019/20 academic year, all training and production practices for 3,733 university students will be held online. 160 companies will provide an opportunity to remotely get acquainted with the production, business processes of enterprises and the basics of selected professions.

“The distance format of practice implies the mandatory participation of students in all webinars held by NLMK as part of the NUST MISiS Job Fair. The company will additionally send informational videos about the company and professions to students who have planned training practice. It is planned to conduct pre-diploma practice by issuing assignments by e-mail with subsequent verification and discussion,” said Irina Titova, Head of the Department for Work with Educational Institutions and Career Guidance of PJSC NLMK.

Among the technical solutions - providing students with remote access to the workplace of the enterprise, such practices are planned to be implemented, for example, by Sberbank PJSC and Giprocvetmet JSC.

The distance format also involves the participation of student interns in all production and training webinars conducted by companies, including the NUST MISiS Job Fair, which takes place in an online format.
