During his visit, he familiarized himself with the activities of the institute and the Center for simulating earthquake, which was launched in 2015 at financial support of the European Union.
The EU delegation also visited the Earthquake Museum, which provides information on latest earthquakes and preparation of population to natural disasters.
Eduards Stiprais wished success and expressed gratitude to the Institute for their important mission on training of future rescuers and informing population on readiness to emergency situations.
