Economy of Karakalpakstan increases by 11.1% in 1H

In the reporting period, the industrial output rose by 12.1%, consumer goods production – 19.5%, construction works – 10.2%, rendered services – 11.4% and trade turnover – 13.6%.

Due to all sources of financing, Karakalpakstan used investments for 916.486 billion soums, UzA reported.

According to the programme of social-economic development of Karakalpakstan for 2013-2015, it is planned to implement 3,225 projects for US$387.2 million and create 13,000 new jobs.

In the first six months of 2013, the volume of used investments made up US$28.4 million and 741 projects were implemented. About 2,718 jobs were created.
