Eco Expo Central Asia 2025: A Contribution to Global Environmental Progress and Green Transformation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The international exhibition of environmental technologies Eco Expo Central Asia 2025 was held for the first time in Central Asia at the CAEx Uzbekistan exhibition center in Tashkent, marking a significant milestone in the global movement for sustainable development and environmental protection.
This large-scale event brought together representatives from over 30 countries, transforming the exhibition space into a prominent platform for showcasing advanced solutions, exchanging expertise, and discussing key directions of ecological transformation.
The exhibition featured cutting-edge environmental technologies and innovations — from AI-based systems and green energy solutions to water-saving technologies, waste recycling systems, and environmental education tools. Participants focused on pressing topics such as climate resilience, sustainable natural resource management, and the adoption of clean technologies.
Participating countries included France, Germany, China, Japan, the United Kingdom, India, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, South Korea, Italy, Kazakhstan, the UAE, Türkiye, Russia, Tajikistan, Belarus, Austria, Singapore, Norway, and others. This broad international presence underscored the growing global interest in environmental issues and Uzbekistan’s commitment to building a sustainable future.
A special highlight of the expo was the pavilion of the State Environmental Expertise, which showcased the core environmental requirements applied to industrial projects as part of Uzbekistan’s regulatory review process.
The exhibits included models and technologies such as dust and gas emission treatment systems, local wastewater treatment solutions, automated air quality monitoring stations, and urban greening concepts for industrial zones through “green belts.”
The pavilion was conceptually divided into two contrasting zones:
A zone of environmental degradation, representing the consequences of neglecting environmental regulation;
A zone of sustainable development, illustrating the benefits of implementing environmental assessment mechanisms.
At the heart of the pavilion stood a symbolic tree — one half barren, the other lush with green leaves — vividly reflecting the idea of ecological transformation.
The exhibition was organized within the framework of the Year of Environmental Protection and Green Economy Development, proclaimed on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This initiative reaffirmed the country’s commitment to advancing environmental reforms, expanding international cooperation, and introducing sustainable solutions across various sectors of the economy.
The Eco Expo Central Asia 2025 made a meaningful contribution to the regional and global environmental dialogue, strengthening partnerships and demonstrating Uzbekistan’s readiness to actively engage in the global green agenda.
