Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Chimgan Forest project with the support of the Charvak STZ Directorate and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports held an eco-action “Planting the forest together”. The organizers and active participants planted 500 thuja seedlings in the Aksai gorge of Bostanlyk district.

This project annually organizes tree planting actions, but now the cooperation of activists with the Charvak Directorate makes it possible to carry out even more environmental actions and events. Further, the program of the project will include the cleaning of littered areas, the introduction of eco-friendly habits for vacationers and the mandatory consideration of the impact on the environment when building new recreation areas.

The forest will be protected from loggers and grazing livestock.

“Environmental issues are one of the priority tasks in the field of environmental protection. This action demonstrates the importance of caring for the environment and is carried out with the aim of restoring the Chimgan forest, expanding "green spaces", as well as involving more and more people in environmental issues and promoting environmental protection issues,” said Aziz, First Deputy Director of the Charvak Directorate Nagaev.

The participants of the eco-action, despite the stony soil, fulfilled the plan and planted seedlings of unpretentious thuja, which is one of the leaders in the release of oxygen all year round and has been living for over 100 years.
