Earthquake in Tajikistan jolts Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
An earthquake with epicenter in Tajikistan was registered in Uzbekistan at 12:50 on Monday,7 December 2015.
According to the data of the European-Mediterranean Seismology Center, the magnitude at the epicenter was 7.2.
The underground tremors were felt for several minutes in Tashkent. The chandeliers and furniture shook as in apartments.
Tashkent seismic station said that the power of tremors in Tashkent was 3-3.5 points, in Namangan — 3.5, in Ferghana — 4 points.
The epicenter was located 460km away from Tashkent to northern-western direction in the territory of Tajikistan.
