Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 July 2025, a meeting took place in Budapest between Shokhrukh Daliyev, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the leadership of Óbuda University, one of Hungary’s leading higher education institutions.

The two sides discussed the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation, including the development of concrete mechanisms in academic exchange, joint educational programs, and scientific research.

Particular attention was given to promising projects aimed at training specialists in higher and vocational education systems — including an initiative to send 50 Uzbek students each year to study at Óbuda University.

The parties reviewed a draft agreement detailing areas of study, admission conditions, funding mechanisms, and quota distribution — intended to create a legal framework for implementing this initiative.

Shokhrukh Daliyev emphasized that the cooperation between the two countries in education is based on mutual trust and a practical, long-term partnership.
