Dubai Taxi Company Ready to Hire Up to 700 Drivers from Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Officials from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan held talks with Sayid Amin Abdulrahman, head of Dubai Taxi Company PJSC in the United Arab Emirates, the “Dunyo” news agency reported.
The meeting focused on the legal employment of qualified Uzbek drivers for decent work in the UAE.
The UAE representative was briefed on the content and purpose of measures taken by the Uzbek government to ensure proper protection of the rights of citizens working abroad, as well as the Presidential Decree “On Measures for the Implementation of a Safe, Organized, and Legal Labor Migration System.”
Attention was also drawn to the activities of the “Ishga marhamat” (Welcome to Work) mono-centers, which operate based on recognized global standards of skills and qualifications in demand in the international labor market.
Sayid Amin Abdulrahman expressed his readiness to legally support the recruitment of experienced drivers from Uzbekistan and emphasized the potential for mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of labor migration.
“At the initial stage, our company has the capacity to recruit about 200 Uzbek citizens as taxi drivers. If their productivity is high, it will be possible to hire an additional 500 Uzbek taxi drivers,” he said.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to discuss the next stages of cooperation in this area between the Agency for External Labor Migration of Uzbekistan and representatives of Dubai Taxi Company PJSC.
