Drug Linked to Child Deaths in India Not Registered in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Center for Pharmaceutical Product Safety has announced that the medicine Coldrif, produced by the Indian company Sresan Pharma, is not registered in the State Register of Medicinal Products of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Earlier, reports circulated on social media about cases of child deaths in India following the use of this medication.
The Center emphasized that, under the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Medicinal Products and Pharmaceutical Activity,” the use of medicines, medical devices, and equipment in medical practice is permitted only after official state registration.
Therefore, Coldrif is not authorized for use in Uzbekistan and is not available on the domestic pharmaceutical market.
