Drug Laboratory Dismantled in Andijan Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Authorities have shut down a drug laboratory in the Asaka District of Andijan Region.
As part of efforts to combat the illegal circulation of narcotic and psychotropic substances, the Andijan Regional Office of the State Security Service, in cooperation with customs and law enforcement agencies, conducted an operational operation.
During the inspection, a local resident born in 1988 was found in possession of a vial containing an unknown liquid and two unidentified medicinal products.
Further investigation uncovered a residential property owned by the individual in the Khodjaabad District, where the drug laboratory was operating.
Seized items included vials with unknown liquids, white powdery substances, potent medicinal drugs, and equipment for drug production.
Forensic examination confirmed that the substances were the synthetic narcotic “Alpha-PVP” and the potent pharmaceutical “Tropicamide.”
A criminal case has been initiated against the laboratory owner under Part 5 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He has been placed in custody, and investigative proceedings are ongoing.
