Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Government Resolution "On measures for the widespread introduction of modern information technologies in the activities of internal affairs bodies" was adopted.
According to the Resolution, from 1 March 2022:
The following services are provided electronically through EPIGU:
- invitation of a citizen of a foreign state to Uzbekistan;
- obtaining relevant documents and certificates confirming the citizenship of Uzbekistan in a foreign state;
- obtaining information about a criminal record (no criminal record);
- check on the ban on the vehicle;
- establishing the time of visits held in penitentiary institutions and colonies-settlements with their close relatives.
If the driver does not have the documents that must be presented to the inspector of the road patrol service, they are checked using a special tablet ID-card device.
At the same time, the practice of requiring the driver of a vehicle belonging to citizens with an ID-card to require the following documents from the driver is canceled:
- new sample driver's license;
- vehicle registration documents confirming the right to own, use or dispose of the vehicle in the absence of the owner;
- insurance policy of compulsory civil liability insurance of vehicle owners.
Until 1 February 2022, information about insurance contracts will be entered into the unified information system in full.
The resolution also approved a program of measures to introduce information technologies into the system of internal affairs bodies.
