Drivers temporarily to lose their cars for hiding number plates from cameras

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Department of road traffic security of the Main Department of Interior Affairs of Tashkent warned drivers on consequences of using special devices to hide number plates from the system of fixing road traffic violations, Major Alisher Abdukodirov, Inspector of the Public Relations and Mass Media of the Main Department of the Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent said.

Abdukodirov said that some drivers are using special materials to hide numbers of their automobiles to make difficult to cameras to recognize the number plates.

He recalled that such violation is fined from 1 to 3 sizes of minimal salary. Officials will be fined from 3 to 5 sizes of minimal salary for the same violation.

Alisher Abdukodirov said that the automobile will be sent to temporary penalty area and the material, used for hiding number plates, will be confiscated.
