Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Government resolution amended and supplemented the Rules for compulsory civil liability insurance of vehicle owners.

In accordance with the legislation, a procedure has been introduced for obtaining insurance compensation by drivers in case of road accidents by drawing up a notification of the incident without the participation of traffic police officers.

Accordingly, by 1 November 2021, a sample notification form will be posted on the websites of insurance organizations and will be available for download.

The notice shall be drawn up in two copies if the following grounds exist simultaneously:

- when the victim has not suffered minor harm or property has not been damaged;

- when one of the participants does not plead guilty;

- when the accident occurred without the participation of a pedestrian;

- when only 2 vehicles were involved in the incident;

- if the civil liability of the participants is insured;

- availability of a driver’s license, registration certificate, power of attorney, waybill;

- if the drivers are not intoxicated;

- if the damage to cars does not cause a conflict of interest.

The regulation comes into force on 25 November 2021.
