Driver Hits Three Schoolchildren at Crosswalk in Margilan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 October, an accident involving schoolchildren occurred in Margilan, Fergana region, as they were crossing the road, the regional traffic safety department reported.

The incident took place around 12:30 on Burkhoniddin Marginoi Street. A Nexia-1 vehicle, driven by a 1998-born driver, struck three children who were crossing at an unregulated crosswalk near School No. 33.

Preliminary reports indicate that one of the injured students was hospitalized, while the other two received first aid at the scene.

An investigative check is currently underway regarding the accident.
