Director of IAEA’s Nuclear Security Office visits Uzbekistan

Within the visit, Mrabit met with the officials of the Ministry of Healthcare, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Saniatgeokontehnazaroat and State Customs Committee.

The sides discussed issues of ensuring radiation and nuclear safety in Uzbekistan. IAEA official highly rated the work, carried out in Uzbekistan, in ensuring nuclear and radiation safety.

At the end of the meeting, the IAEA official handed over special equipment and tools to the Uzbek side as a technical assistance to strengthen material-technical base of primary reaction divisions of the Ministry of Healthcare and Uzbek Customs Committee.
