Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 February 2021, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation Botirjon Asadov held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrei Rudenko. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The parties exchanged views on topical issues of bilateral relations. Particular attention was paid to the preparation of joint events at the highest level, including the upcoming state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Russian Federation and the 2nd meeting of the Joint Commission at the level of the heads of government of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The diplomats highly appreciated the development of Russian-Uzbek relations of strategic partnership and alliance.

The parties emphasized their mutual interest in further deepening political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, building up interaction in regional and international affairs.

The sides reaffirmed their intention to continue mutual support and cooperation in the fight against the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
