Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  On 2 December 2024, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bahromjon Aloyev, held a meeting with the UAE Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Saeed Matar AlQemzi.

During the discussion, the parties addressed the prospects for expanding political, trade, economic, and investment ties between the two countries.

The meeting also touched upon the recent challenges faced by Uzbek citizens entering the United Arab Emirates.

As part of the negotiations, a decision was made to take the necessary measures to promptly resolve the situation.

Earlier, it was reported that on November 30, at Abu Dhabi International Airport, UAE customs authorities detained 31 Uzbek citizens who had arrived on a flight from Tashkent operated by Wizz Air.
