Digital TV channels to work 24 hours

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution on creation of new 24-hour digital educational channel “Mahalla” in the structure of National TV and Radio Company of Uzbekistan on 17 December 2014.

According to the resolution, from 1 January 2015 majority of digital TV channels will work 24 hours a day. Uzbekistan, Yoshlar, Sport, Tashkent, Madaniyat va Ma’rifat, Dunyo Boylab, Mahalla, Kinoteatr, Navo, Oilaviy and Diyor will work 24 hours.

Bolajon channel will work 15 hours a day, while digital channels of 12 territorial divisions of National TV and Radio Company will work 18 hours a day.
