Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Digital intersection management systems will be introduced at all intersections in Tashkent by the end of 2023. This is stated in the presidential resolution "On measures to ensure reliable human security and a sharp reduction in deaths on highways."

The document notes that by the end of 2023, at all intersections of the capital, as well as the main large intersections of the city of Nukus and regional centers with heavy traffic, and until the end of 2024, at all intersections of the city of Nukus and regional centers, organizational measures will be taken to introduce the system digital control of intersections.

Based on the analysis of traffic flows and pedestrians, traffic accidents associated with the participation of pedestrians, the full implementation of the targeted program will be approved and ensured.

Personal responsibility for the full transfer to the digital control system of intersections in the cities of Nukus, Tashkent, regional centers rests with the chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokims of Tashkent city and regions.
