Diesel Production in Uzbekistan Surges 54.5% in Q1
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —Oil refineries in Uzbekistan, together with Uzbekistan GTL, produced a total of 249,000 tonnes of diesel fuel in January–March 2026, according to the Ministry of Energy.
Compared to the same period last year, when output stood at 161,200 tonnes, production increased by 54.5%, or 87,800 tonnes in absolute terms.
Monthly dynamics showed uneven but steady growth. The strongest performance was recorded in January, when diesel output reached 78,300 tonnes—more than double the January 2025 figure, marking a 135.8% increase.
In February, production totaled 57,400 tonnes, up 20.3% year-on-year. March was the most productive month of the quarter, with output reaching 113,300 tonnes, exceeding the previous year’s result by 41.1%.
