Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The seventeenth plenary meeting of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan is currently underway. The plenary session is chaired by the Chairman of the upper house of parliament Tanzila Narbaeva.

In her speech, the chairman of the Senate stressed that under the leadership of the head of our state, all opportunities are mobilized to ensure well-being, guaranteed protection of the life and health of our people, so that everyone is happy with their life.

“We see the results of the far-sighted domestic and foreign policy pursued by the example of the positive results achieved today in many areas,” said Senate Speaker Tanzila Narbaeva. - On the eve of a new stage in the development of our country, our esteemed President noted that it is not the people who should serve the state bodies, but the state bodies - the people. And we can say that all the reforms, all the achievements in various spheres of society in recent years are the effective result of this demand. We can say that dialogue with the people, including work with appeals, has become the main source of important decision-making in all spheres of society.

At a recent meeting under the leadership of the head of state, measures were identified to organize a new system of work with appeals from the population. At the same time, the main attention was paid to the issue of resolving appeals on the spot, in the makhalla itself, with maximum convenience for the population. Especially, the responsibility and accountability of territorial leaders has increased dramatically. It was noted that now each leader should have his own strategy for solving problems arising from the appeals of the population.

Naturally, certain specific tasks to increase the level of digitalization of the system, in particular, the consolidation of requests into a single electronic database and the launch of a single online platform for working with requests will increase its efficiency and effectiveness. In this regard, the tasks of strengthening the participation and influence of the Senate and local Kengashes, in particular, to control the effectiveness of the work of the executive bodies in dealing with appeals, require special responsibility and activity from all of us.

- Health workers on the ground need to make a yard round of the population and find out what diseases are observed more often among the population, - said the Chairman of the Senate T. Narbaeva. - This will improve the quality of medical services provided in the regions. For this, the involved specialists must be qualified, be able to listen to each patient.

In addition, one cannot be limited to the provision of one-time medical assistance to the population or treatment, it is necessary to preserve the health of the population, giving special attention to these issues in the current period of the pandemic. In turn, the results of the medical examination carried out should not be superficial.

Parliamentary control will be strengthened by hearing in the Senate quarterly reports of the heads of ministries, departments and regions on the solution of issues raised in the appeals of the population, and in local Kengashes - monthly reports of khokimiyats on this issue.
