Development of Cross-Border Fintech Discussed at INUzbekistan in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The INUzbekistan event was held in Tashkent, focusing on the prospects for developing cross-border cooperation in technology and entrepreneurship.
A key highlight of the event was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between PashaPay and the Association of Fintech Companies of Uzbekistan. The two parties expressed their commitment to jointly advancing the fintech sector and entrepreneurial ecosystem both within Uzbekistan and beyond its borders.
The event was part of the INMerge Innovation Summit — a platform designed to unite technology communities across the region. The initiative was supported by IT Park Uzbekistan and centered around the importance of international partnerships for sustainable and scalable innovation-driven growth across Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the Middle East.
The program featured a keynote talk titled “The Invisible Wall: Overcoming Bias in Innovation,” a fireside chat, and two panel discussions. The first panel, “Fintech Without Borders: Scaling Innovation in New Markets,” explored strategies for regional companies entering international markets.
The second panel — “Capital and Innovation: How to Attract Investment for Early-Stage Startups” — brought together investors and ecosystem leaders to develop effective approaches to financing the next generation of entrepreneurial ventures in Central Asia.
The event culminated in the Startup Pitch Competition, where early-stage teams presented their ideas to a panel of investors and industry experts. The winning team, PromptLab, earned the opportunity to present their project on an international stage and compete for a share of the $30,000 prize pool at the main INBattle event.
The final and flagship event — the INMerge Innovation Summit — will take place in Baku on September 29–30, 2025, with organizational support from PASHA Holding. The summit is expected to bring together over a thousand entrepreneurs, investors, senior executives, and government officials from more than 30 countries.
The program will feature keynote speeches from industry leaders, expert panels, pitch sessions, and networking meetings aimed at strengthening international cooperation and advancing innovation in the Caspian and Central Asian regions.
