Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov has met with the Ambassador of Turkey Mehmet Süreyya Er, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed the current state of multifaceted cooperation, the implementation of joint projects and initiatives, as well as promising measures to deepen the partnership.

Organizational issues related to the 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey to be held in Tashkent in May this year were also considered.

The parties highly appreciated the opening of the Consulate General of Turkey in Samarkand and came to a common opinion that this step will give a tangible impetus to the development of cooperation between the two countries in culture, tourism and interregional partnership.

Following the meeting, the Uzbek side expressed gratitude for the significant contribution made by Mehmet Süreyya Er to the development of a partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
