Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan holds meetings in France
In particular, the delegation of Uzbekistan met with the heads of the diplomatic missions of Australia Angus Mackenzie, Hungary Zoltán Cséfalvay, Zimbabwe Rudo Mabel Chitiga and Cuba Maria Buergo Rodriguez, and Deputy Ambassador of Norway Dankert Wedeler.
According to the Dunyo news agency, during the meetings the foreign diplomats were thoroughly acquainted with the ongoing transformations in all spheres of the life of Uzbekistan, as well as the implemented open policy and a new vision of the current leadership of the country in resolving pressing issues on the agenda of Uzbekistan’s development and improving the welfare of Uzbek people.
It was noted that today special attention is paid to protection of the cultural and historical heritage of the country, preserve historical sites, as well as the development of tourism potential.
Foreign diplomats expressed a special interest in strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation within the framework of UNESCO, in particular in the field of communication, education and science. The diplomats noted their readiness to continue to provide every assistance to the expansion of partnerships and joint projects between the parties.
It was stressed that regular meetings and contacts at various levels allow to develop cooperation within the framework of international organizations on a mutually beneficial basis and expand exchanges between representatives of business circles, scientific and educational institutions and cultural and art figures.
