Deputy Minister of Economy holds talks with Indian envoy
At the meeting, the sides considered implementation of agreements, reached in the result of the visits of the President of Uzbekistan to India in 2011 and Prime Minister of India to Uzbekistan in 2015, as well as the results of the 10th session of the Uzbek-Indian intergovernmental commission on trade-economic cooperation, held on 3-5 March 2015 in Dehli.
The sides underlined that current bilateral economic cooperation does not meet existing potential and agreed to direct efforts to improve mutual cooperation.
The Uzbek side paid special attention to expanding mutual trade, especially supply of ready Uzbek products to the Indian market.
The sides also discussed establishing ties in pharmaceutical, leather and footwear, textile, ICT, software, medicine and science.
Indian envoy was informed that the Uzbek side is carrying out serious preparations to the session of the Uzbek-Indian intergovernmental commission on trade-economic cooperation in Tashkent.
