Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 April 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gairat Fozilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden with residence in Stockholm, Thomas Danestad.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the ambassador presented his credentials. The Deputy Head of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him successful work in a high and responsible position.

During the conversation, the parties discussed topical issues of the Uzbek-Swedish agenda, as well as interaction within the framework of international organizations.

The parties considered proposals for enhancing mutually beneficial ties in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, investment and other areas of mutual interest.
