Denis Istomin outplays Paul-Henri Mathieu

Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin reached quarterfinals of Kremlin Cup, defeating France’s Paul-Henri Mathieu in the second round.
Paul-Henri Mathieu replaced the second seed Russian Mikhail Yuzhniy, who refused to participate in tournament due to virus infection.
The match continued an hour and 57 minutes. In the first set, Denis Istomin lost with the score 1/6. In the second set, Istomin equalized the score with 7/5 win in the second set. In the final set, Istomin claimed the lead and ensured his victory – 6/3.
In the quarterfinal match, Denis Istomin will face Russian Igor Kunitsin.
