Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 January, representatives of the Ministries of Transport of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan held a meeting of a joint commission on international road transport in Tashkent.

At a meeting chaired by Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdusamat Muminov and Deputy Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan Shoista Saidmurodzoda, issues of developing cooperation between the two countries in the field of international road transport were discussed.

The parties exchanged information on the state of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field of international road transport. The parties also discussed how the implementation of the agreements signed in this area is progressing.

At the meeting, the parties also exchanged views on the resumption of bus service, which was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. The prospects for the development of the Uzbekistan-Tajikistan-China transport corridor were also discussed.
