Delegation of Uzbekistan meets with US Ambassador at Large

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov, invited to the Ministerial Conference on the Promotion of Religious Freedoms in Washington, held a meeting with the United States Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom on 27 July 2018.

The sides exchanged views on the results of the Ministerial Conference, which ended on 26 July and discussed key issues of Uzbek-American cooperation in this area, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry reported.

The Ambassador congratulated the Uzbek side on special progress in the field of ensuring religious freedom and successful participation in the forum.

The meeting also discussed the practical aspects of the forthcoming visit of Samuel Dale Brownback to Uzbekistan in September and other issues of development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States for the near future.
